What is ruck a buck?
Ruck a Buck is the annual rugby 15s tournament that is hosted by the Atlanta Bucks. Comprised of teams associated with IGR, Ruck a buck is a great way to conclude your fall season!
What does my registration cover?
We’re not trying to make money of this tournament, we’re just trying to have fun! So your registration goes directly to the cost of the tournament. That means it’s helping to cover the referees, lunch for the players and volunteers, a t-shirt keepsake, and safe fields to play.
Registration
Team Fee: $600 (max 25 players)
Registration Deadline: October 15
All teams will be invoiced using the email submitted on the form
In order to allow for match times that make it worth your while, this year’s tournament is capped at 6 teams in total.
With this in mind, tournament spots are on a first come first come first serve basis.

Fields
Ruck a Buck will be located just outside of Atlanta at the Morgan County Soccer Complex

The soccer complex is comprised of 3 grass fields, concession stand, and indoor restrooms.
We know that some teams like to fly into the city. If you need help transporting your team please indicate so in your registration.
PLEASE NOTE: Morgan County Parks prohibits alcohol and illicit drugs of any kind on the premises. If you are seen with alcohol or illicit drugs you WILL be asked to leave and your registration will NOT be refunded.
Lodging
The Atlanta Bucks has partnered with Hyatt Centric Midtown Atlanta for Ruck a Buck 2024

Located right in the heart of Midtown the Hyatt Centric is perfect for your visit. You will be within walking distance from the 10th Street Rainbow Crosswalk and 5 minute Uber ride from your sponsor bar The Atlanta Eagle - host of the meet & greet Friday evening and the third-half Saturday post tournament.
Rates:
$139 per night for 2 Queen Beds (SOLD OUT)
$189 per night for 1 King Bed w/ pull-out couch

The hotel block will close October 19th. If you book after the cut-off date, reservations will be based on availability and the group rate will no longer be available.
Reach out to us immediately if you have any issues with booking rooms. If rooms sell out, let us know we may be able to add more rooms to the block.
If you would like to book your own lodging we recommend staying within the Midtown area when booking your lodging.
tournament details and game play
Tournament specific including schedule and structure will be emailed to teams on Wednesday October 16th. Structure and match schedule will directly depend on the number of teams registered.
Please advise your players to arrive in Atlanta on Friday November 1st as matches could start as early at 8 AM on Saturday November 2nd.
Tournament draw will happen at 8:30 PM Friday November 1st hosted by the Atlanta Eagle. Should you wish to be present we recommend booking your travel accordingly.
